Okay, I know you don't know any of these characters, but Alex is basically the half human, half andara heroine, and Erevu, Jumbe, Kubwa, Pili, and Wili are all Kichwa.

Also, if you read the description of Andara, you should know that since Alex is only half, the restrictions on her "wish organ" are kinda different, so she can "summon"
 wings and an energy sword.....kinda........it's magic or the force or whatever, okay?? XD Ahaha......yeah.......fuck logic..........she's a motherfucking angel-jedi

ffffffffffff re-reading this makes me want to bash my head into a wall DX

jslkgjadsl;gjsasgdj okay I'll stop drawing it out, cause I really do want an opinion on it.

Alex awoke to the sounds of magari speeding outside her window.  Although she had only been living in the city for a small portion of her life, she found that the sound of them rushing by had a calming effect on her.  She sighed and looked at the clock on the wall above her nightstand.  It was still early in the morning.  She decided that she might as well get up now that she was awake.
First she brushed out her long, pale hair and tied it back so it was out of her face.  She pulled on a simple green sweater and black pants, and then went out into the living room.  She found Erevu sitting on the couch, the light from his laptop making his glasses opaque and veiling his bright, yellow eyes.  He nodded to her without looking up and Alex reciprocated with a murmured greeting.  Kubwa was also awake, sitting at the kitchen table, peeling a matunda.  Kubwa gave Alex a small smile as she sat down.  She returned it warmly and reached out to take a matunda of her own to eat.
The three of them sat in the calm, semi-darkness of the kitchen.  None of them felt the need to talk. The slowly rising jua cast a warm glow that crept up the wall as the minutes drifted lazily by.   After about an hour had passed, Jumbe stumbled out of his room to get some breakfast for himself.  He didn’t even bother to return the other three’s greetings with a formed sentence.  He preferred to grunt instead.  He too sat at the table to eat, although he decided to have biskuti for breakfast.
Another hour passed before the twins, Pili and Wili sauntered into the kitchen.  The jua had fully risen by now and the sounds of magari outside had reached an uproar.  “Morning!” Pili piped loudly, “how did everyone sleep?”  No one even bothered to answer him.
“Who’s going into KN Headquarters today?”  Jumbe asked the room at large, “I was thinking of taking the day off to go walk around the dome.”
“More like visit Zuri who just so happens to work at said dome,” quipped Wili slyly.
Jumbe colored slightly, but showed no other sign that he had heard this comment.  “Well I’ve got to be going,” Alex said, getting up from the table.  “I’ve got to leave soon if I’m going to reach Andara by tomorrow.”
“Going to go see how Christine is doing?”  Jumbe inquired, looking up from his biskuti.
“Yeah, I thought I’d go check up on her training.  I hear that she’s coming along just fine.”  Alex nodded appreciatively.  “Hopefully she’ll be able to finish her normal training and start learning aria techniques soon.  And also,” she smiled somewhat sarcastically, “I haven’t seen my dear father or insen in a while.”
“Alright, see you when you get back,” Jumbe said, and then added, “Contact me when you get there so I know you’re okay.”
“Okay mom, I’ll make sure I do that,” Alex smirked as she walked towards the door.  “Bye,” she called over her shoulder.
Alex set off at a leisurely pace towards the Kuu hanger.  She blended quite naturally into the diverse crowds that swarmed the streets of Mji Mkuu.  She remembered fondly the surprise she felt when she first saw this mob of pedestrians.  She had thought an advanced species such as the Kichwa would be able to come up with some high-tech way to travel the walkways.  For the most part, the city dwellers seemed to prefer walking to their workplaces rather than dealing with the out-of-city traffic.  Magari zoomed by at an alarming rate creating a sound similar to a rushing rapid, and street vendors attempted to sell their goods to passersby.  The smells of fried nyama and fresh picked matunda wafted through the air.
Alex crossed a street and then turned a corner.  There the hanger gaped like a huge mouth.  She flashed her badge to one of the armed security guards that watched over the ships nestled in the hanger.  After passing many rows of ships, she finally arrived at her own.  It was sleek and silvery-blue.  The letters KNF Blueline were emblazoned across the side.  Although it was a relatively small ship, it suited her needs just fine.  Alex boarded it and sat down in the pilot seat.  She drummed her fingers gently across the control screen, bringing the ship’s systems to life.  Alex waited until the message from the meli mlinzi flashed across her screen to maneuver her ship into position.  She was cleared for launch and proceeded to fly her ship out of the gaping hanger entrance.
Alex turned her ship skyward and began setting it for autopilot guide to Andara.  After breaching the planet’s atmosphere, she switched over to complete computer control and sat back in her seat.  She lazily watched distant stars flash by outside the window.  At about noon, Alex decided she should get a good rest to make up for the time difference on Andara.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                Alex jerked suddenly awake.  Every sense in her body was tingling.  Something was very wrong.  Although she still seemed to be on her own ship, she did not feel safe.  She felt trapped, and immediately looked all around, searching for a quick escape.  When none presented itself, she let energy surge through her body.  Adrenaline turned into pure energy and forced itself out of her back in the shape of a pair of wings.  A glowing sword, her spada, appeared in her hands.  She twisted around, looking for the source of her uneasiness.  As soon as she assured herself that she was alone, four beings, cloaked in shadow appeared before her.
                Alex gasped and recoiled, not used to being snuck up on.  She recovered quickly and swung her spada at the figure closest to her.  The shape easily evaded her attack.  Although Alex could distinguish no eyes, she could feel the being looking at her.  Who are you!  What do you want?! Alex yelled at the silent figures.  Or at least, she tried to yell.  She found that no sound came out of her mouth.  In her mind, she could very clearly form sentences, and she could feel her vocal cords attempting to form sounds, but nothing was audible.
                Oh god, leave me alone! Alex screamed silently, in vain.  Again and again, she swung her spada at the figures, panic turning her actions to spasms of fear.  None of her attacks managed to leave a single scratch the figures.  She began to wonder if they were even alive.  After all of her energy had been spent on wild and rash attacks, her spada and wings faded into the air.  She collapsed on the floor, exhausted.  Gasping for breath, Alex thought, now what will you do to me?  Now that I’m at your mercy…
                The first being she had tried to attack stepped forward, and gently lifted Alex to her feet.  It led her out of the airlock of her ship into a connected ship.  The four figures accompanied her to another door within the ship.
                Once she looked up, Alex realized that it was a terrarium; much like the one that Zuri had helped fill with exotic plants on Kichwa Sayari.  This terrarium was nowhere near as huge as that one, but it was still an impressive size.  It was full of lush grasses and ferns.  A brook flowed gently in between wispy trees with shimmering leaves.
                The being that had grasped Alex’s arm opened the door to the terrarium and pushed her inside.  Hey! Alex tried to yell after the now retreating figures, but her voice still refused to be heard.  The thick airlock door slammed in her face.  Defeated and drained, Alex slumped down against the smooth, glass walls of the terrarium.
                Eventually, she looked up and began to study her surroundings.  Although there was a large amount of diverse plant life, she noticed that there were no animals.  There were many plants like those in the terrarium in Mji Mkuu, as well as some plants that she had never seen before.  The ambiance of the rustling leaves and trickling brook calmed her considerably.  Feeling refreshed slightly she figured that she had nothing better to do, so she decided to get up and explore.  She wandered slowly towards the small brook and began to follow it upstream.  She looked up at the trees overhead and wondered what produced the wind that caused the branches to sway and the leaves to flutter.
                Her heart leaped suddenly as a thought crossed her mind, if there’s wind in a terrarium, there must be some sort of outlet, or even a fan that leads to an escape route.  Thoughts of escaping surged through her brain, overtaking all other thoughts.  Figuring that whomever or whatever had captured her would be watching her every move, Alex kept her face impassive.  She continued to follow the river at a leisurely pace.  They could not know she was looking for a way to escape, for then; surely, they would forcibly restrain her.  Even though this was the gentlest way she had ever been captured and held, she still hated the idea that she could be held at all.
                I could get a much better vantage point from a tree, Alex thought, but would that be too obvious?  Shrugging, and throwing caution to the wind, she began to shimmy up the nearest tree.  Its thick trunk was knotted and gnarled and provided her with easy handholds to push further upwards towards the leafy boughs above.  Once she reached a stable branch near the top of the tree, she slowly stood up, and looked around.  Although large, the terrarium was a mere eighth of the size of the one in Mji Mkuu.  Alex could easily see the whole of the dome in a perfect half-circle.  Images of clouds and blue sky were being projected onto the dome’s outer surface, preventing her from seeing outside.  From her vantage point, she could see the door she came in through, and the places where the brook entered, and exited the dome.  Alex immediately ruled both of these openings out for escape routes because of the heavy, metal grates fastened over their fronts.  There was no way she could bring out her spada to cut the grates without drawing attention to herself.  She sighed and kept looking.
                A playful, warm breeze tugged at a loose strand of hair that had come down from her ponytail.  Alex suddenly remembered why she had climbed the tree in the first place.  She needed to find out where that very breeze had come from.  She scanned the dome for any sign of an opening or even a fan.  There was none in plain sight.  Maybe I’ll have to resort to those water grates after all.  Alex quickly clambered down from her post in the tree.  She began following the river again, this time downstream.  When she was about fifteen meters from the end grate she sat down against a tree trunk, trying to look innocent and ready for a nap.  She tried to avoid looking at the grate.  I’ll take a moment to rest my eyes, just to lower their suspicions, and to get some energy back before I tackle this thing.  These beings are not to be taken lightly; I’m probably going to have a difficult time getting away
                Alex carefully leaned her head back against the trunk and closed her eyes.   She watched the dappled light created by the leaves make red and black patterns across her eyelids.  She relaxed and felt her aria slowly returning.  After about a half hour, she decided to act.  I have no idea how long they plan to leave me in here, she thought, for all I know, they’re going to come and kill me any minute.
                All in one motion, Alex propelled herself from the ground, opened her eyes, and released her wings and spada.  She sped towards the grate, now a mere five meters away.  As she reached it, she plunged into the ankle-deep water and sliced at the metal bars, which fell away like stalks of wheat being reaped.  Ducking low, Alex began sprinting down the tunnel, following the path of the water.  As she turned a corner, she could see slats of light that surely meant she was almost free.  She rushed towards the slightly smaller grate and quickly slashed it out of her way.  She stumbled through the small opening then quickly straightened up.  As she lifted her head to survey her surroundings she found herself staring right at the four dark figures from before.  She backed up into the wall behind her, and then found her muscles had frozen in fear.  Am I that predictable? Alex thought incredulously.
                Please, I don’t understand what you want from me!  Alex tried to scream, but once again, her voice refused to sound.  She could feel the drain of fear dimming her spada.  Shakily, she raised it up into a defensive position, but it merely faded to nothing, along with her wings.  Why am I so afraid of these beings that have done nothing to harm me?  Alex wondered, shivering.
                We don’t want to hurt you, but we will restrain you if necessary.  The voice, her voice, appeared in her head.
                Are you using my thoughts to speak to me? Alex was stunned.  They were speaking to her through her mind in her own voice.
                You must return to the terrarium now.  There are fruit trees and plenty of water for you to drink.  Her own voice continued, ignoring her question.
                Either you’re ignoring me, or you really can’t understand my thoughts.  But I do think that it’s you that’s keeping me from speaking aloud.  Once again, she was either ignored, or unheard.
My Universe Overview
     This has been one of the biggest projects of my whole life.  I've been designing this universe for as long as I can remember >.> Even though I've spent so much time on it, it's still incomplete.  Here's an overview fucking long ass description of the basic species and worlds I've developed so far:
Kichwa: Vaguely humanoid species, with tough skin ranging in color from deep blue to dark green.  Eye color varies widely, and is the main indicator for an individual's "beauty" or "attractiveness."  Mature adults have a deeply ridged fan on the back of their head.  Younger individuals have horn-like protrusions that later grow into fans.  Although very similar to humans as far as body structure goes, they are actually much more hardy.  Their bones are incredibly thick, and their muscles are much more wiry and resistant to wear and tear.  Their planet is a desert wasteland (coughcoughtatooine) with a single, developed city full of ship hangers and towering buildings.  In the heart of the city is a huge, clear dome full of lush plant life from all over the galaxy.  The species is known for being extremely untrustworthy.  One saying states that a Kichwa would sell his own grandmother into slavery if the price was right.
Jumbe, a young Kichwa who has yet to develop a head fan
Kubwa, another young Kichwa
(warning, I had this description written out already, so it's a lot longer)
I mostly pulled from the idea of Angels for this one :P
Species Name: Andara
Adjective: Andarian
            Andara look like humans in basic body shape, but they are actually significantly different organisms.  Like humans, they are bipeds with two arms, two eyes, and one mouth.  However, unlike humans, Andara have large wings protruding from their shoulder blades.  These wings are much too proportionally small to actually allow the Andara to fly. Andarian wings come in various colors, depending on which clan the individual originated from.  The six color variations come from six different ancestors: Voe of the White wings, Geon of the Gray, Rowen of the Brown, Vena of the Black, Gyali of the Gold, and Tala of the Red.   Most Andara have children only within their clan, so most wing colors have remained pure.  A few mixed-wing Andara exist and are tolerated, but their parents’ choices to mate outside their clans are frowned upon.
            Andara are also vegetarians, not omnivores like humans.  Because of this, Andara have much flatter teeth.  Their internal organs are also significantly different than humans.  Their three stomachs take up a large portion of their body.  These stomachs developed to properly digest and absorb nutrients from the vegetation that makes up the Andarian diet.  Their heart is also much larger than the average human heart.  Instead of four chambers, each heart has eight, allowing them to pump twice as much blood.  Andara lungs are much less delicate than human lungs, so they tend to retain less injuries and diseases.
            The most unique feature of the Andara is a small organ, located next to their heart.  This organ allows energy to take physical from, but only with a very fervent wish.  Andara are only born with wings because of their organ’s process of turning wishes and energy into tangible things.  They are only born with wings because the notion of wings is so ingrained in their species subconscious.  When a child is conceived, it has the basic appearance of a human baby at the same stage.  Once the child’s brain has developed enough and has connected with a fully functioning wish organ, it begins to think only of its ancestors and how its wings are to form.  All of this is involuntary and automatic, unless there is something seriously wrong with the child’s brain or wish organ.  Once its DNA reminds it of its ancestors and their parents’ clan and color, and then the child can begin bringing the wings into existence.  Now, the organ can only do so much throughout an individual’s lifetime.  Most Andara lose almost all of their energy before they are born by creating their wings.  Therefore, they are unable to wish anything else into existence.
Planet Name: Andaria
            Andaria is made up of one large planet and one smaller moon.  The moon is not spherical because it is actually a piece of the main planet that broke off.  It doesn’t orbit the main planet like a typical moon.  It is anchored to the main planet via a huge network of vines and tree trunk-like plants.
Lucertola: My lizard babies!!! Ahem.  I designed them after Hork-Bajir from Animorphs.  Too lazy to do a proper description, so instead I'll post pictures :DD
I used lots of different animals for references in designing these babies.....
Laku and her baby, Injo (she's basically my obligatory self-insert character) She's got the typical female head spikes and outward-curving tail spikes (called faldas)
Typical male Lucertola with his big, manly falda.
Other Species I'll go into detail about some other time include:
  • Fuck I forgot their names, but it starts with a "V"
  • Something else....uhhhh based on those creepy guys from Battlestar Galactica....or was it Babylon 5?
  • Humans :DD Like.....regular humans.  On earth.  Yup.
  • Other things I can't remember........the jello guys.......yeah......
Inspiration
So basically I want to share where I got the idea that's sending me into this insanity spiral. My chemistry teacher was talking about how he took a year off school to work for a company that did safety inspections of powerplants and sewage treatment facilities and things and he was talking about all the safety gear he had to wear to deal with all the chemicals and things and said something along the lines of "It was like a knight's armor, except it rattled less." So then i was just like BAM! High fantasy/post-apocalyptic cross over type thingy. And ideas have been jumping around my head ever since.
